GOGSPA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - 20TH MARCH, 2018 @ STEPRI – CSIR
The meeting began at 10am chaired by outgoing Vice President, Captain Francis Boakye.
The understated members were introduced to the meeting by the chairman as the incoming Executives for the next two (2) years.

The President-elect assured members that the new executives will put in their possible best to move the Association to the greatest level within the next two years in the oil and gas industry.
He reiterated that interactions between them and the petroleum commission, GNPC, IOC’s and other major companies will be made effective.
REPORT ON LOCAL CONTENT:
Mr. Nuetey Adzeman encouraged members to acquaint themselves with the guidelines on local content by acquiring copies of the ACT 821, ACT 919, LI 2221, LI 2246 and LI 2204.
Issues arising from the Local content Committee meetings include
• Members not engaged in the upstream sector of the oil industry are not required to file report on Local Content.
• The Petroleum Commission will be sending a team to verify the correctness of figures reported under the Local Content Spend.
• Members are encouraged to have operational accounts with indigenous banks, since it is a requirement by law.
The Secretariat will circulate to members the list of indigenous banks as listed by the Bank of Ghana.
• He also advised members to ensure that submission of renewal/permit forms be made one month before the deadline avoid paying extra charges.
Barrister C.K. Jans and Madam Linda Kusi represented PC on behalf of Mr. Egbert Failbille, the CEO. He urged members to be committed to the activities of the Association.
